What a beautiful day to be outside for a picture.
Our residents love to get in our Maggie’s House Bus and go for rides. In July 2017 we took a trip to the famous Wilton Candy Kitchen in Wilton, Iowa. Everyone enjoyed a flavored ice cream cone after the tour.
Our Queen this year is Evie Griebel, who turned 100 in February. She is going in style in this sporty convertible with her driver, Joe O’Connell.
Every September during Assisted Living Week, residents vote for a King and Queen. These two Royalties get to ride in the July 4th Parade. Here’s King Wes Wieck with his driver, Dean Lawson.
Every year we treat our residents and their families to a Family Picnic. This year our theme was “Take Me Out to the Ballgame!” Residents had baseball caps and giant baseball bats.
The Chord Busters Barber Shop Quartet come to entertain for us a couple of times a year. In April 2017 they made one of our residents part of their group and gave her an Air Guitar just like theirs.
Randy Meier, Director of the Clinton County Sheriff’s Office Seniors vs. Crime Program made a visit to explain to the residents many ways outsiders could scam or fraud them over the phone or internet. He left packets of information for them to find out their credit score..
