safe - secure - specialized
Maggie’s House was founded with the belief that each resident receives the highest quality of care and personal touch. We are mindful that each resident comes with an individual set of needs. We strive to maintain an environment that is representative of our residents’ wishes and values.
In October of 2011, the facility formally known as Amber Ridge, became, under new ownership and management, Maggie’s House Assisted Living. The State of Iowa requires assisted living facilities to be re-certified every two years. Maggie’s House has been a deficiency-free facility since 2014.
We have 20 one- and two-bedroom apartments with all the comforts of home. We offer options needed to enjoy life in our assisted living apartments such as safety, compassion, privacy, a place to laugh, fun things to do, friends, and a sense of belonging. Our long-term, dedicated staff goes above and beyond in every situation. They work not only to meet but to exceed the expectations of those we serve daily. We have a full-time RN on staff daily, and on-call after hours.
Our facility allows seniors to live independently with the comfort of knowing assistance is available if needed. Come see why you should “Make Our House, Your Home”. Download our Brochure
Why Maggie’s House?
Life Enrichment Activities – Bus Tours – Cultural Opportunities – Educational Workshops – Spiritual Opportunities – and so much more!
For individuals requiring little more than a carefully designed, supportive environment with the assurance of knowing someone is there if they call.
For residents who need personal assistance with the tasks of daily living such as bathing, dressing, and assistance with medications.
For residents who need moderate assistance with most activities of daily living as well as intermittent incontinence care, skin care and assistance with ambulation.
For residents who need frequent assistance with most activities of daily living, including but not limited to transferring due to physical impairments, dementia and stages of Alzheimer’s disease.
Dedicated professionals, quality character, skilled and compassionate.
Unlike nursing homes and other medical facilities, assisted living facilities allow residents to maintain a sense of independence and involvement in a social community, while providing assistance with daily life.
